What happens after delivery
Delivery is only the start. Training, field support, repair and overhaul and the spares cover between them decide whether the equipment keeps working season after season.
Training and certification
Aimed at MWD engineers: system operation, surface decoding, fault diagnosis at the wellsite and emergency handling, classroom work combined with hands-on practice. A certificate is issued on passing the end-of-course assessment. Courses run at our works, or we send an instructor to your own base.Course length and class size are agreed according to numbers and content.
Field support and remote monitoring
On critical hole sections we can put an engineer on the rig; the rest of the time support runs through the technical hotline, with response times set out in the service agreement. Remote monitoring can connect to your own surface data, so our engineers watch the same waveforms and help work out whether a problem is in the signal or in the tool.
Maintenance and overhaul
Servicing is tiered by cumulative downhole hours across three levels — routine check, intermediate repair and full overhaul — with the checks, replacement parts and man-hours for each level listed item by item in the maintenance manual. The interval for a factory overhaul is confirmed after assessing the model and the extent of the damage; the full test programme is run again before the tool ships back, with the test report attached.
Spares packages
A spares package is built around the intensity of the work and the wells being drilled, covering the high-turnover consumables so that a missing part does not stop the rig. Line items and stock status are on the parts site.
Precision machining and prototyping
A machining team of 20, five of them technicians with more than ten years in the trade, working to high precision in both non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. The shop also takes outside work: technical consulting, prototype runs and contract machining.
